PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As part of a personnel loan contract for a consultant, TEKNEMA was responsible for supervising the installation of a new oil-free compressor system and advising the customer on how to reduce compressed air downtime for the plant.
During the project, TEKNEMA discovered a major deficiency in the epoxy paint inside a tank. The compressed air tanks were installed in parallel with the old one to minimize downtime, resulting in only 1 hour of downtime. The existing compressor was relocated and put back into service. When the new compressor was commissioned, no downtime was required to allow both systems to operate simultaneously. In this way, the customer can use his old compressor during maintenance or technical problems.
